Evaluation of the CRAN Catch-up Education Programme in Madagascar
The programme aims to reintegrate out-of-school children into the public education system through innovative catch-up education schemes tailored to learners who have missed schooling. Activities include alternative and accelerated learning opportunities, field-based implementation with partners, and mechanisms to support transition into formal schooling while addressing barriers to access and inclusion.

Learning Avenue conducted an external evaluation, combining fieldwork, qualitative analysis, stakeholder consultations, and policy recommendations to strengthen the programme’s scalability, inclusion, and overall effectiveness.
