Learning Planet Institute – Category II Feasibility Study

Final Feasibility Study Report for the Learning Planet Institute Application for UNESCO Category II Status

The feasibility study assessed LPI’s suitability for UNESCO Category II status by analysing its mandate, programmes, and strategic positioning in relation to UNESCO’s priorities. It examined LPI’s education and research programmes on pedagogical innovation, inclusion, skills development, and transformation of learning environments from early childhood to higher education. The study conducted institutional and policy analysis, benchmarked LPI’s work against international frameworks, and assessed its potential global contribution to inclusive and sustainable learning societies.

Learning Avenue's Role

Learning Avenue conducted the feasibility study, led the analytical work on LPI’s programmes and governance, and prepared the final report supporting UNESCO’s decision-making on Category II status. LPI was officially designated a UNESCO Category II centre in November 2025.
